Upcoming spring sewing...
17 April 2009, 11:23Finished:
These both just need photoshoots this weekend! (Actually, I’m wearing the former for the second time today…)
In Progress:
In some vague order…
- The Colette Patterns “Eclair” dress in gold silk crepe (with aubergine silk ties), being sewn for Iain & Steve’s wedding in early May:
I beta-tested this pattern back around Christmas so I know my muslin fits perfectly, but the silk arrived too late to sew it for holiday parties!
- Yet another HotPatterns Nairobi bag, this time in mustard yellow leather, with lining TBC:
- And, after much consideration and public vote (thank you!!), the turquoise Patrones duffle coat!
A couple of us in the UK are going to have a tiny SewAlong for this coat, based on the one copy of Patrones #261 that Zoe has! So hence why I’m doing some other projects first so the others have a chance to catch up… Thanks very much for all your input and tips for dealing with the basketweave wool!
(Whoa – I just realised this is an entirely Burda-free plan! I don’t think that’s ever happened before!)

Looking good! I’m thinking of picking up Burda WOF (thanks to seeing it quite often here!!), I’ve seen it in a newsagent in the city centre (just hope they are still getting it). I like your plan though! Looking forward to seeing the works in progress :).

I’m excited to see your pink knit dress. The fabric killer and the line drawing looks really cute. I need to figure out my next course of action too . . .

Now that I see that coating I really think that you made the right choice with the Patrones. It should be lovely. Do any of you read Spanish?
