Summer sheep pyjama addition
24 May 2009, 10:45When I first thought I’d be going into hospital, I was anticipating wearing winter pyjamas, but with all the delays and waiting on a bed, it’s now rolling into summer time. Luckily, I sewed my pyjama sets in medium weight knits rather than thick fleeces, but I had a tiny bit of Sharon’s sheep fabric leftover so I thought I’d create more wearing options for myself.
If you recall, I made a snap-front long sleeve shirt and drawstring trousers before:
And now I’ve got a camisole to wear either under the long sleeve top or on its own with the trousers!
It’s just the super simple TNT vest I’ve made a thousand times before, albeit this time with the aid of the overlocker and coverstitch since this fabric is quite stretchy. It was something I’ve been meaning to make for a while, and since my spring coat isn’t using the overlocker or coverstitch machines, it meant I didn’t need to rethread or disturb its progress to make this.
So I can interchange the tops depending on how I feel, and I think I’ll cut quite the figure in my three piece suit, ha!

Great idea. You never know what the temp in your hospital room will be. Plus, you’ll be very fashioable.

Seems like you have all temperature options ‘stitched up’ (sorry for the pun). Really cute fabric.
