Lingerie Contest Medium

Oh Baby!

19 September 2006, 16:11

I took a little sideline from my current two big projects (a massive velvet pirate coat for James and a lemon yellow tulle dress for a friend’s 30th birthday) to sew up some new arrivals for a friend’s, err, new arrival.

Since I’ve never made anything for an infant before, I drew inspiration from Craftster and decided that this changing pad looked useful, different, and easy enough to go down well with a new mum. So I took some flannel scraps from my stash along with a new hand towel from the market and made her a changing mat (with pockets for nappies and wipes) that folds up small enough to fit in a handbag. And since I still had some flannel leftover, little Olivia Inez also got some matching pajama trousers for when she grows a bit!

She’ll be the most comfortable, stylish, and Francophilic newborn on the block!
